Mission 4: Team FUBAR and Team Treble’n’Bass

Outside the Rescuer’s Guild tree house stood two rescuers. One, a Lucario known as “CuJario” or “CJ” by his friends, the other, being a Ninetails known as “Scarlet”, both of them smiling brightly as usual as they conversed with each other.

“So we meet Chill at Snowy Village? Sounds like a plan to me.” CuJario spoke, looking down at his partner.

“Yeah, sounds easy enough.” Scarlet replied, nodding with a smile.

“You ready to head out then?” CuJario asked, folding his arms, his black cloak responding with a slight swish in the snowy wind.

“Give me five minutes, I have to go see a friend before we go.” She responded to her partner, starting off to the market.

=============Not too far from this location ============================

“Did you hear that, Forte?” A small Plusle asked her brother beside her. “CJ is going on that big mission with Chill!” She grinned, a plan already forming in her mind.

“B-But Piano… The mission might be really dangerous…” Forte trembled, already understanding what his sister was plotting.

“C’mon Forte! It’ll be awesome!” She exclaimed, pulling her brother aside and starting toward CJ with a wide and slightly sneaky grin.

“A-Alright, I’ll try to convince him to let us go…” Forte agreed, having been practically dragged up to CuJario.

“Convince who to let you go where..?” CuJario asked, folding his arms and looking down at the young brother and sister combo. For a moment, Forte looked as if he had seen a ghost, not realizing CJ was within earshot, until after he had opened his mouth.

“U-Um…” Forte stammered, still looking nervous and a bit distraught.

“Yes..?” CuJario asked, still looking down at the duo.

“W-We want to go along with you on that mission to Snowy Village.” Forte spoke, managing a nervous smile.

“I dunno… I don’t know if you two can follow orders. I’m not going with a team that I have to babysit.” CuJario explained, frowning and keeping his arms folded. Before Piano could speak her mind and show that she was offended, Forte spoke up once more.

“I swear CJ, we will follow every order you give us… And we won’t get in your way… W-We just want to help.” He spoke, surprisingly bold for the little Minun.

“Piano, do you agree to those terms? Oh, and if you two don’t listen, I’ll send you back to Tao, via /my foot/.” CuJario warned, enforcing his words with his narrowing hazel eyes.

“Yeah, sure, fine. I’ll listen.” Piano agreed, her blue eyes rolling almost smugly with her usual attitude towards CuJario.

“I-I’ll vouch for her CJ… Just please let us come along..?” Forte pleaded, begging the Lucario for permission.

“Fine… Scarlet has to be okay with it too though…” CuJario decided, looking down at the two once more.

“Scarlet..?” They both questioned, looking confused.

“My partner, the Ninetails.” CuJario answered, smiling a bit.

“Oh the one with the green eyes we saw you talking to whil—“ Forte was cut off by Piano, whom used a paw to cover her brother’s mouth.

“While you two were spying on me…” CuJario finished, folding his arms. However, before he could interrogate the two, Scarlet was spotted approaching the group.

“Ohhey that must be her right now!” Piano spoke up, trying to divert the conversation. Luckily for Piano, CuJario decided to leave things as they were, and make proper introductions.

“Hey Scarlet. Before we go, these two are going to ask you something.” CuJario grinned, motioning for Forte to step forward and ask Scarlet about their idea. She cocked her head in response, listening to the little Minun’s request.

“U-Ummm… D-Do you think we could come along for your big mission to Snowy Village, M-Miss Scarlet?” Forte asked, blushing from his nervousness. What the group did not realize, besides Piano of course, was that Forte’s “Accidental Attract” was activated. Scarlet looked down at the young Minun for a moment, and pulled him into a close hug.

“Of course you can come sweetie~! You are just as cute as a button~!” She squealed, hugging the poor lad as if it was his last day alive.

“T-Thank you Miss Scarlet…” Forte blushed, still locked in the hug.

“Now that it is settled, we should get moving. We have to make sure that things go right with this mission.” CJ spoke, a slight grin on his face.

“Finally! We get to go on a real mission!” Piano exclaimed, smiling brightly.

“Good, now grab your gear. We’ll depart immediately.” CuJario finished, looking at the group.

[After prying Forte from Scarlet’s paws, the group quickly made their way to Snowy Village, wasting no time in getting there.]
