YOUR SIDE
You breathed in the cold salty night air, as you stood with your matesprit, Karkat, on the deck of a large cruise ship. Finally after three years of scrounging you both had worked up enough money to go on this wonderful weeklong cruise. To be fair you, both really needed it; between work and neighbor bullshit, the two of you were at your wits end. None of them mattered now though, you both were having a wonderful time, dancing, drinking, and making the sweetest love that you’ve made in months. You were smiling brighter than you have since god knows when, and Karkat was actually tolerating people.
You jumped a little as Karkat moved one of his arms around your waist.
“You’re not fucking jumpy are you?” He teased.
You smiled, “Sorry, I was just, in thought.”
“Eh sorry I didn’t mean to startle you from your thoughts.” Karkat sighed as he rested his head on your shoulder, giving your neck a few light kisses. You gasped at the light kisses tingled your e-zone, dammit why’d he always have to do this type of shit to you. He gave your neck one last big kiss before whispering ever so sweetly, “I love you.”
“I love you too.” You whispered back blushing. It doesn’t matter how many times he says it, or how long the two of you will be together; because whenever he says “I love you.” it feels like the first time. To be honest he doesn’t say it that much anyways, it’s just not who he is; but when he does say it, you can always tell he means it.
Karkat frowned, “You know, I saw Terezi on here a while ago…”
“Yeah, I saw Nepeta with her earlier.” You said.
“Dammit, why do they always have to follow us?” Karkat growled
“I don’t fucking know, they both hate me because they think I “stole” you from them.”
“You didn’t fucking steal me. I left Terezi because she was being an ungrateful bitch.”
You frowned your heart now heavy as you thought of the friendship you and Nepeta used to share. Junior year animal biology 7th period, you both hit it off the first day; and had been inseparable threw the rest of high school, and all threw collage. It wasn’t until you and Karkat hooked up that she started hating you. But that didn’t matter you had Karkat and he’s all you need; but when you do get sick of him you can always go to Vivian, another old friend. You two were friends since elementary, but in high school you really started blowing her off, which made you feel bad; especially since she was there for you even after all the shit you put her threw. Karkat could sense your stress, he wrapped his arms around you; holding you in a warm embrace.
“Hey (y/n), you want me to go get us some drinks.” Karkat asked.
You smiled slightly, “Yeah, sure, I’d like that.”
He kissed your cheek and slipped into the party that was going on further up deck. After Karkat was out of sight you turned and faced the ocean again, it was so peaceful, and beautiful; and yet strong and dangerous. It was like a big blue blanket that engulfed the world.
Suddenly you heard footsteps from behind you, you quickly turned to see if it was Karkat returning with the drinks, but when you looked all fell silent, except for the party, and the sound of the ocean. You turned back around, once again you heard footsteps.

Whoever it was, it defiantly wasn’t Karkat…

You could hear your blood pumping in your ears as your fight or fight response kicked in. The steps were getting closer and were soon closing in on you. The next thing you knew, there was a ruff grab and jerk; someone shoved a rag in your face. The last thing you heard before you passed out was a woman’s voice giggling,
“Does this smell like chloroform to you?”
KARKAT’S SIDE
Karkat slipped in the wall of humans, and trolls cursing as one of them stepped on his foot.
“Oh sorry cutie” was the slurred response of the drunken partier. Karkat almost gaged at the wretched stench of alcohol on the woman’s breath.
“I’ve gotta make this quick, I just fucking got in here and these assholes are already too much for me to handle” He growled as he shoved a drunk couple, who were making out, out of his way. When he finally made it to the punch line he saw how humongous it was.
“Are you fucking kidding me” He screamed, “I have to wait this long for fucking punch?! Screw that, I’ll go buy a motherfucking soda.”
And so, Karkat ran out of the line and to the nearest soda machine, when he had purchased the soda, he walked back you where the two of you were standing. When he got there you were nowhere to be seen; all that was there was a note, tied to the rail with red string. When he picked up the note he seen it was sealed with a drawing of a little green and red dragon. He narrowed his eyes he already had an idea of who it was, he opened the note and read it.
“D34R K4RK4T,
YOU SHOULD H4V3 THOUGHT TW1IC3 B3FOR3 L34V1NG M3. NOW SH3 W1LL D13, 4ND YOU W1LL SUFF3R TH3 S4M3 UNJUST F33L1NG YOU PUT US THR3W.
~D4RK N3KO DR4AGON.”
Karkat growled and ripped the letter apart and threw it in the sea, “DAMMIT, DAMN YOU TEREZI!! I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU FOR THIS.” He yelled in to the sky, before breaking down crying. He screamed loudly when he realized that the only evidence he had of her doing this, was now floating in the ocean.

YOUR SIDE

You wake up in a dark, dank room; there are drippy pipes and the air is fowl with the stench of mildew. The only light in the room was from that of a single light bulb that dangled directly above you. Your arms are bound behind you, and you were gaged so that you should not call out for help. Before you know it a black cloth sack covers your face, you feel your hands are freed; but only long enough for you to be stood up, then your hands were tied once more. There’s whispering going on two females and what sounds like one male. The male seems unsure and it seems like he really doesn’t want to be a part of this, but a younger sounding girl yells at him and he submits. It’s hard for you to clearly understand what is being said, your head still fuzzy from the chloroform.
Next, you feel your self being aggressively lifted from the ground and flung over a muscular shoulder; then heard the sound of a large metal door being opened. After that the sound of boots walking up metal stairs, another door being opened and then, you felt fresh air blow through your (h/l) (h/c) hair. A few steps later the person holding you stopped, and lifted you up, you gasp as you feel the sudden change in height; the wind was so strong, that even the large hands that held your tiny body were having a hard time holding on to you. A voice came from below you, the man’s voice; he spoke in a somber tone, “I’m sorry…”
After that you felt your self being lunged forward, the cold air wrapping around you sending horrible chills under your skin. Then you plunged into the cold abyss that is, the ocean.
