i started this picture a couple of weeks ago, not aware of the upcoming solar eclipse. i'm glad i managed to finish it today.
i got to see today's partial solar eclipse as well as a live feed of the total eclipse over at Faroe Islands and in Svalbard. it was such a breathtaking sight. wish i was there.

I'm getting a Hindu vibe from this sphinx (it is a sphinx, yes?). I like the elongated hands and feet, and leg pose that suggests a monkey (not to mention the tail). Cool twist
