Beautiful work. Some cultures within the Southeast Pacific Islands do not actually have egocentric spatial processing and actually can be disoriented and use their surroundings to find their locations. Their language is based on the cardinal directions rather than in relation to one self. Our language actually created this point of view more so than our nature. It makes one think what other habits concerning egocentrism is learned behavior?

I learned about it through a TED Talk or NPR Pod Cast... But the word for this kind of thinking is Allocentric Spatial Processing. There's lots of articles that come up.
