The archaeologists find an under-Earth city, Β perhaps hundreds of thousands of years old.

I really like the grand architectural fractals and this is a fine example...bravo!

That's all I ever do, I rarely start off with something in mind just throw some formulas together or start with someone's params, Reset to zero and start Messin around, let the fractal evolve by itself or till you get an Idea. Either way it has to be fun or it's called Work......and I really don't like work, it was a four letter word even before I Retired.....

And yup re: W.O.R.K. could not agree with you more!
It's great that you are retired too -- what did you retire from? [If i may ask LOL?]

Too many interests to stay with one Company too long, 7 years in Seismic Instrumentation Systems Mfg., 7 years Systems Engineer on an International Seismic Exploration Crew, 10 years in Pro Audio Equipment Mfg and a bunch of other stuff in between 5 years in the Army and getting my Electronics Degree....It's not a Pension it's Social Security Retirement....Yep, I'm that Old...

Oh that's very cool. And Seismic Exploration - don't hear that every day LOL. Sounds like you've had a really interesting life.
RE: that old LOL... age is so relative!Β
How long have you been 'into' fractals?

I git into Digital art as therapy to keep me from going insane during Chemo/Radiation for Cancer about 8 years ago with Photoshop Manips. then got into Mojoworld planetscapes and Fractals shortly after that. A friend at the old SeventhComplex art site was tutoring me in Mojoworld and introduced me to FractalExplorer and that was it, I was hooked on Fracs. I've used most of the Popular Fractal apps, FE, Sterlingware, Apo(all versions), J-Wild, Incendia, UF, but when MB3D first came out it was like Jesse made it just for me, far and away my favorite App, it just feels like home if you know what I mean

HolycrapΒ Lenord!
Chomo. Β I am so sorry to hear that you've had to go through all that. I hope things have stabilized and that your retirement is treating you well! Β
Mojoworld... Doc Mojo... what a hoot! When I met him way back when he came to Dragon*Con, he had this wild suit with all these brightly lit LEDs (way before wearable gear was common) LOL. Brilliant guy.Β
I gravitated toward Bryce since I was already tarnished by the weird control setup from all the Meta-Creations peeps - mostly Poser. Which, sadly, has ruined me for everything else it seems LOL.
It sounds like you definitely have been around the block a few times w.r.t. fractal programs! And I agree that M3D definitely has 'something' going on - while it took me a few tries to 'get it' once I did, I feel rather like you It's a wonderful program that makes exploring fractals really really fun and addicting!
Thanks for sharing a bit of your story. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff!

I have a more extensive Gallery at Renderosity, I'm Fractals Moderator there and my Gallery there has a lot of my Early Manips and Mojoworld Renders
www.renderosity.com/mod/galler⦠and FractalForums has all my oldest MB3Ds, I quit posting at FF a couple years ago when Christian changed the limit to 1 perday and changed the size limits www.fractalforums.com/index.ph⦠I still go there every day though to check out the Forums, it's a killer source of information

Ahhh Renderosity!Β
I need to dust off my own gallery there I think the last post was way back '08.
I will definitely go check out your gallery and the forum.
I have had a look around FF and yep it's got real good info with lots of very smart contributors.Β
Thanks for all the info and links. That will keep me busy for a while LOL
