Description
A Silkmoth that I raised from a worm ^^A silkmoth emerges from a silk cocoon that it spun itself made out of almost a mile of a silk strand. It will live for only 5 days only for mating purposes. It doesn't need to eat and it cannot fly due to the species evolution in captivity.
I believe it's wings are a bit bent from being inside the cocoon. It just came out this morning.

I used to own silk moths! A student from my primary school kindly gave them to me.

Such tender features, that and the fluff just makes these moths so cute-looking. And its plump abdomen, what a dear lepidopteran.

They are truly incredible, I have had a lot of joy raising them. They are a very domesticated species anymore. Mainly raised for silk and to eat. I bought mine online as worms

Wow, where can you buy them online? (not that they'd survive shipping to sweden, and my cat would eat 'em, but i'm curious)
