True that, top game, level art gets a bit typical as it goes on but still a fantastic ride.

Indeed it is and it had great gameplay as well, shame he never caught on like his cousin Sonic did. If I'm not mistaken, his gameplay and concept was based on a rejected sonic one (I think it was a rabbit who's ears stretched).
Anyways, keep up these Mega Drive/Genesis runs on drawings, I'm really liking them. My favorite game on the system was Gunstar Heroes.

This game is awesome! SEGA may have "forgotten" the character, but we players didnΒ΄t. 
Years ago, Ristar was released in a SEGA collection for PS2 and PS3, with about 50 other great titles and bonus material.
