THIS GAME IS MY CHILDHOOD.

My father was a dear and had me grow up on a lot of Sega games beginning at 3. I hardly remember most of the games I played on the genesis but THIS GUY... MAN, THIS GUY. MY BABY.

I got Mega Collection on my Gamecube later and I still have it. The art style is just beautiful and I JUST LOVE HIM MAN.

You're rendition of him makes me laugh. I just adore your style.

I was so close to suggesting this one in your journal actually, and then it shows up not even 10 minutes later

My story with Ristar is a little different, I never had the Mega Drive because we were shit-poor at that stage in my life, so I missed out on a lot of great games, playing some others only when I visited the houses of my friends who actually had cool stuff None had Ristar, but I got to play it anyway, years later on "Sonic Mega Collection" for the GameCube. I thought it was dumb at first, and very slow compared to all those Sonic games it was grouped with. But I loved the artwork and beauty of the game enough for me to want to see more of it, eventually I played long enough that it grew on me
