cover image for a little collection of simple illustrated stories that I'd like to put together called "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb." This particular story deals with unconditional kindness.I may put up a little site dedicated to these things if I find the time... we all know how that is for me. 0.o;

Did you stretch the text, or did you find an extended font.
From a typographer to a cartoonist: Please don't alter the shape of the letterforms in text, they lose all the porportions that they were designed to have. Find an extended font.

I'm actually a graphics designer, not a cartoonist. I've run the mill of typography classes. I think it's important that type not be modified when it concerns text blocks for readability, but I reserve the right to use creative liscense to mod type when I feel that a modification would improve the way the text is seen, in the case of titles, special text, etc. In this case, increasing the x-height of a sans-serif font causes the readabilty to lessen slightly, which also forces the reader to take more time in processing what they are seeing. That deceleration reflects the tempo of this particular project, and in this case I believe it is a fitting modification.

I dont think you can copyright something like that... the title isn't specific. Thats like trying to copyright a CD called "Blue". Too generic tohold up in court I'd think.

Indeed, the only time where it would even be aplicable is if you were directly competing with them, or if there was a chance for consumer confusion. If you ever do make that website: then I ask that you be sure to note it in an image in a sample, watermark or some kind of deviation.
