Description prismacolor markers, rapidograph tech pens, and an archival sharpie.

Yin and Yang from More Sugar. I got a bunch of new markers and I needed to play with them badly, so I attacked my sketchbooks and this happened.

More Sugar seems to be full of characters who can't seem to keep their clothes on right... I design strange things.

Very high contrast of themes and values... which is more than appropriate considering the name and nature of the characters. XD

wow are they your characters, or is more sugar some manga I need to read? Did you do the logo too? Man... you're WAY more detailed than I am. >:B

They're my characters and manga, and logo. I've actually won a design award for this project, even though I haven't actually drawn the comic yet...

indeed! You'll just have to draw some pages! muhahah! But, of course, Zap comes first, I should think.

Gotta be superglue for the kimono-boobie bondage.

we thought perhaps double sided tape...

Kurai-Netsu In reply to Lepas [2007-02-21 09:38:56 +0000 UTC]

Kimonos tend to be made of fabric of a decent weight. Do they make a tape strong enough to support the weight of a full kimono?

Lepas In reply to Kurai-Netsu [2007-02-21 14:11:35 +0000 UTC]

models use double sided tape of some fashion to hold their get-ups down.

but really, there's no reason to so seriously debate this. lol. And, in the image, she's holding her kimono up with her arm, plus her oobi is right there too, keeping things up... in theory. 0.0

You thought that superglue was a serious suggestion? That stuff bonds permanently!
What would work to hold clothes up would depend on the weight of the fabric.

I've actually glued my fingers together with super glue. I was attempting to glue a clasp back to a necklace... and...

fortunately, it doesn't really bond forever...

Kurai-Netsu In reply to Lepas [2007-02-22 22:35:07 +0000 UTC]

That may just be because you shed your skin(everybody sheds!). It'll still bond ya longer than ya really want. Best to go with clothes that acutally fit.

Glue! Glue is what's holding her kimono on her bosom. Because that's how it always works.

Double sided scotch tape, or some of the more heavy duty stuff? Cuz the scotch tape doesn't work very well.

Lepas In reply to leClowne [2007-02-16 16:07:31 +0000 UTC]

I think you can get a set with two in it for around 20-30 bucks. If you do really look into them try to get them in the .18, .25, .35 and up range. Those small pens are really precise and great for comic work and illustration.

leClowne In reply to Lepas [2007-02-16 23:44:37 +0000 UTC]

Are they like precision sharpies, or are they fountains with metal tips?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lepas In reply to leClowne [2007-02-16 23:52:47 +0000 UTC]

metal tips with refillable inkwells.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

leClowne In reply to Lepas [2007-02-17 00:11:02 +0000 UTC]

I'm a little nervous around those. They're intimidating with their...inkwells...and everything...

I should glue a long ostrich feather onto one and then it won't be so scary!

Lepas In reply to leClowne [2007-02-17 05:36:04 +0000 UTC]

only if you promise to wear your purple beret every time you use it. ZOMFGROFLOL

They're really not so bad. I was very nervous when I first got them, one because they're so expensive and two because I have a tendency to break things that require some level of maintenance. But they're really built to last and I know I'll be using them for years and years.
