The Hunger Games is an AMAZING novel!! It's one of the best books I've ever read
I definitely recommend it to anybody who hasn't read it yet. It's GREAT!! Go get it!! NOW!! 
I can't wait for book 2, Catching Fire, to come out on September 1st... Only 6½ months to go!!

Hmmm... I read the book at the beginning of January, and now we're in May... I've waited four months, and there are four months left... Hey, half the wait is over!!!

Haha that reminds me of the time when I wanted to borrow a series from the library, but they didn't have the second book, just the first, third, fourth and so on... They didn't even remember who had borrowed it!!! So I ended up asking for the second book for Christmas, and then I was able to borrow the following books^^

It is definitely one of my favourite books, as well. It was very well-written, although I thought the ending seemed a *little* rushed. Oh well. <3

Are you referring to the ending of the Games themselves (the Gamemakers announce that, despite what they said before, there can only be one winner, so Katniss pulls the berry stunt and the problem is solved in about 3 pages), or the ending of the book itself (the author spent 150 pages on everything that comes before the Games, but only 25 or 30 on what comes after them, most of those pages not even involving Peeta)? Because I would agree with you either way

I'm trying to get my mom to read it, but she says that she already has a ton of books to read, so... And my sister is too busy with her studies to read much. As for my friends, well, most of them don't speak English, or at least not well enough to read a whole novel in English, and The Hunger Games hasn't been translated in French yet (I'm from Québec). So basically, I don't know anyone who's read it!
But maybe it'll be just like Twilight... A year ago, I would talk about those books and people would be like "What the hell are you talking about?! Craaaaaazyyyyy..." 
So in 2011, when the Hunger Games movie comes out (yep, Lionsgate has bought the rights to produce the movie, yay!!

I know what you mean, about saying you don't know anyone who's read Hunger Games! xD I have friends who like to read, but they don't read as much as me, or in some cases read different books. xD So it's VERY hard to keep myself from wanting to talk about it and make em read it! xD Heehee! It'll be awesome when the movie comes out! And the book is getting pretty big and popular, soon more people will know about it! It was the same thing with Twilight for me too. Well, a friend in Art class got me into it, but back when I started it wasn't as popular. That can change real fast!

That wouldn't work for me, since I'd know where they would be hidden. But I could "accidentally" leave them at my parent's house... They live 3½ hours from here, and during the school year, I only see them every month or so
