I did quite a lot of sketches in spite of my studies... This is one of the experiments that can be shown here^^I used ink and nib (or whatever it is called) only for some parts of it and later a Schneider ballpoint (with needle point, cool thing...). I have always had trouble with balancing light and dark parts and in this picture there is surely room for improvement, too. But it was really fun to do...

The problems you mentioned aren't visible in your picture, so don't worry! And you really know how to draw textures and material. Your violins look as if they were made of wood and nothing else!

I think I really like ink. It´s great for illustrations... Don´t worry I´m still fascinated and I´ll probably keep on practicing with ink.
