You start Normal + Phoneix mode. Be glad you didn't do Lunatic.

I chose Hard as Hard was still challenging without being unfair on Awakening!

But Phoenix mode is a permanent dishonor on your save file... everyone can see it!

I'd rather hear the intensity of the storyline instead of the challenging of hard and lunatic. That's no dishonor. That's an honor of wanting to play through a good story!
