...in the next re-release/remake of Ocarina of time. /jokingInspired by a theory on why Navi left.
As for why Navi is talking to Twilight Princess Link at the end, remember how there is a fairy cursor that greatly resembles Navi in the game? It doesn't play a role in the story and never interacts with Link, but there could be another theory on why that is : P. Maybe it's Navi but, being a cursor, she can't contact Link...no matter how badly she wants to. Or it's simply a cursor (albeit a reference to Navi).

I always thought that Navi went back to the fairy world. ย (And there IS a fairy world [with a reining queen as well]) And that the only reason link, or any of the kokiri for that matter, has a fairy is because the great deku tree uses them as a favor. ย You know, like interns, but more magical.

She never really helped me that much, but I get teary eyed at the end every time. The only times she was annoying was in subsequent playthroughs in the beginning where she had unskippable tutorial stuff.

Well, in Skyward Sword, Link is shown actually speaking. But we never hear him, and there's no speech bubble. But after that, we know Link has the power of speech. He's just the quiet type.

You know what, if this is actually true that fairies vanish after their purpose, then this would be considered canon in my mind, and this allllll makes sense. This made me a bit sad, though.
