In Pokemon, there exists a term called "HM slave", which refers to a pokemon whose main purpose is to have field moves (and in dire cases act as a meat shield) instead of battling (many field move are really bad).Swords for cut, power gauntlets/bracelets/titan's mitts for strength, bombs/hammer for rock smash, flying broom/teleportation for fly, deku nuts for flash...the list goes on! Link could be a great HM slave.

But Fly, Strength, Surf, and for fighting PokΓ©mon, Rock Smash, are all good attacks in their own right, right? So is Dive and Waterfall for the games they're in. Really only Cut and Flash suck. And Whirlpool

Oh I suppose so. Although he'd go so tiny he couldn't be easily seen with the naked eye, and he'd be really rattled around in that pokeball with movement/travel of the person who trapped him in it, probably to serious or fatal injury.
I enjoyed The Minish Cap, completed it long ago. But I could never quite get my head around the shrinking and growing concept, in the sense that the regular size and Minish size (worlds) never really seemed to coincide with each other; if you were regular size the Minish world couldn't be seen because it's too small, and vice-versa as Minish size you were smacked into that microscopic world so well that it was impossible to see the regular size world at the same time, making puzzle solving between the 2 world sizes awkward.
