Link: "Hypocrites."Many of 3D Link's companions have been called annoying by players. Maybe the companions are annoyed by Link's incessant yelling/grunting? It might be mutual.

Link always has been voiced by Japanese voice actors in the Zelda games. In fact, since Ocarina of Time they did this.

I guess it'd be too expensive to do the actual dialogue work. Plus, it'd be double the amount of the budget regarding audio voice casting if they used both Japanese and English voice talent.

I actually read somewhere why he only does those grunts, it was because his original voice actor died before they could finish his voice lines, so to honor him they used the battle grunt he had recorded rather then finding a new actor.
I think I read it on game theories, I'm not sure...ย it'd explain a lot if that's why tho.
