I seriously must be one of the few people who loves all three companions
Navi is actually quite helpful, Fi is so informative and musically talented, and Midna is powerful and just awesome!
At least, that's how I feel about them.

Hmm interesting, I had always wondered the reason behind Link's voice since the beginning of the Zelda series. Perhaps he's more of a listener or he have some power that is divine enough to make him wordless or something like that... I really need to go to the Zeldawikipeia pages to find the answer.Β 

In the meantime, with the next new Zelda game coming out, I will pray that Link can finally speak in it! Β

It would be nice definitely. I found out why Link is somewhat semi-muted, it's because he is apparently the avatar of the player and that it creates the "link" (hence the name) from the player to the game itself. So, it seems that the player who plays as Link would get to experience the adventures and the struggles he had been through, in which I had found that very interesting now I remembered the times playing Ocarina of Time.
