Description
Best friends forever!Hopefully the Hero's Shade/Oot Link was able to reunite with his pals after his appearance in Twilight Princess.
...gotta love lost woods/Saria's song (and great fairy's fountain theme, Zelda's lullaby, and many more).

Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess is actually Link from Ocarina of Time (and also the father of TP's Link). The reason OoT!Link became what he did is because of many regrets he had in life. This comic more or less gives him the peaceful afterlife he deserves by reuniting him with his childhood friend.

Sorry, but your wrong. Sort of. The theory is that the link that died is not the Ocarina of Time Link (he either died in battle against Ganon or was sent to the past), it is instead the Majora's Mask Link after he grew up and was killed in the forest. That's why he became a Stalfos. Stalfos are born when Hylian's are killed in the Lost Woods and the Hero's Shade Stalfos has the equipment of the Majora's Mark Link. Also, he must have lost an eye in combat somewhere along the way.

MM!Link is OoT!Link. Majora's Mask comes right after Ocarina of Time. So Hero's Shade is in fact OoT!Link.

*sigh* At the end of Ocarina of Time Link goes back to the past after defeating Ganondorf so everyone can live a life of peace instead of under Ganondorf's iron fist. Link also takes this time to search for Navi. This is where Majora's Mask picks up; right where Ocarina of Time ends. The Link in MM is the exact same one from OoT. Are you still following?

You're making it seem like MM!Link and OoT!Link are two completely different characters and I'm trying to explain that they're one in the same.

Lol. I was just givign you a run around.
We can argue technicalities all we want about them being the same Link based on the idea that after being sent back the events of OoT never actually happened, even though he still lived them, that's why I refer to him as MM!Link instead of OoT!Link, seeing how the world's events were changed and not 'continued' from.
That aside, you say "The reason OoT!Link became what he did is because of many regrets he had in life", that is not true. Stalfos are born when Hylian's are killed in the Lost Woods, not from regret. And this is still just a theory, you say it was confirmed by Nintendo but even they refer to it as theorized lore.
Also there is no proof what so ever, aside from rumors and hints, that he is in anyway related to TP!Link.
The triforce of courage is not handed down by generations within a family, the hero is chosen.

What are you talking about? The Hyrule Hystoria confirms that TP!Link is the son of OoT!Link. That's canon there.

Child Link's timeline leaded into Twilight Princess. However, that timeline, where Zelda sent Link back to his childhood, leaded into Wind Waker. So that confirmed that Child Link has lost his life during Majora's Mask, passed his bloodline into Link in Twilight Princess, and therefore, OoT Link is TP Link's father/ancestor/whatever.

The first Link in the comic was OoT young Link, being friends with Saria and listening to the music. The Hero's Shade, which is the soldier in the middle panels, is said to be the grown up Link from the Child Link Timeline, meaning he lived out his adulthood, but for some reason, explored the lost woods, presumably trying to find Navi again, becoming a Stalfos. The melody Saria played was somehow able to return Link's spirit to his normal form, and not a Stalfos, hinting at him finding peace spiritually because of Saria's song.

They indeed talk, but just not displaying their words because they are "you". Look at Skyward Sword - Link explained to Zelda's father of how Zelda got caught, but no words were showing, all we see was his gesture and head positions.

I think how talkative they are depicted in video games doesn't represent who they are in their respective universe... Based on how video game history came to be, they'll have to be very careful with giving Nintendo characters voices.

It states that he's a ghost held back by his regrets.
There's too many things against the Stalfos theory to list (not the least of which is that he's not a skeleton), so I'll say the most obvious one.
He knows a song that lifts curses.

pentacle565 In reply to L-Keaton [2014-08-11 03:18:37 +0000 UTC]
Not death... It is a commonly held belief that he died at the beginning of Majoura's Mask, and the whole game is his spirit going through the stages of grief before reaching spiritual peace. The skeletal warrior could be a manifestation of the spirit of Link struggling to find peace.

You saw that GameTheory episode too, eh?
That thing is like the GameTrailer's Timeline (or that stupid '100 years' thing) all over again. Most theorists I know consider it cancer. People keep parroting it faster than we can disprove every one of them individually (and it gets old really fast).
I'd love to go into detail about how it contradicts the actual -flat out stated- lesson of Majora's Mask or how Termina's theme was death because Termina itself was destined to die (also flat out stated) but in the interest of time I'll keep this brief:
TP Link is OoT Link's direct biological descendant (as shown in TP and confirmed in Hyrule Historia). This alone is enough to invalidate any notion of him dying at age ten.
(Oh yeah, and the Song of Healing makes people come to terms with their deaths, as shown with Darmani and Mikau. Link heard it, what, twenty minutes into the game? Kind of kills the need for the rest of the game if was about coming to terms, eh?)
