This is the N.E.S.T. Autobot badge for 'Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen.'

I don't know if this badge is actually on the uniforms of the human NEST teams in the movie. They don't zoom in on the uniforms closely enough. This particular rendition is from the ROTF Ironhide toy.

However, they do show a unit patch associated with the NEST team in the movie. I posted a drawing of the patch here: [link]

Both the patch and the badge pictured here are a part of the NEST Operations teams. In the military world, there is a difference between the two. This badge could be considered a specialty badge. Specialty badges are worn over the left pocket of the uniform. They indicate what the wearer is trained to do, what his/her job is. Unit patches are worn on the shoulders and/or pockets of the uniform. They indicate what squadron/unit/team the wearer is a part of within their particular specialty, or job.

Obviously this badge and that patch are fictional for the movie, but they are a delight because it shows that some attention to detail was given to the uniforms worn in the movie.
(Of course, they screwed up Epps's rank. He's a Master Sergeant in all the literature, but the rank they sewed on that uniform he's wearing in the movie is that of a Chief Master Sergeant. He would, in no way, have been able to acquire that rank that fast in real life, no matter how close to an alien species he works with. BUT, all that is beside the point)

Anyway, I drew this using a .7mm lead mechanical pencil and only about an hour to draw. I darkened it in photoshop so that the lead shows up better.
