Do you have any tips for applying the crackle? Whenever I do it, it comes out either without much crackle and I can't see enough of the color beneath, or I try to put on only a little and it comes out very choppy and blocky instead of crackly

You need enough on the brush for your entire nail. I try to get the nail done with only two brushstrokes (half the nail trying to get the edge done and then the other half getting the other edge done. Dont want to go over the same spot more than once). You dont want too much, but just enough to where it looks opaque when you put it on (then as it dries it should crackle nicely), but not thick and gloopy looking. I hope some of that made sense. And it just takes a bit of practice, u'll start to learn what the right amount is. Good luck
