It's been a year since I first laid eyes on this photograph and I'm just just as slack-jawed with awe now as I was back then.
This is absolutely astounding work-- you look every bit as elegant and monstrous as Howl does in the film. The sheer amount of patience and precision needed to carefully place each of those feathers (individually, I imagine) is very commendable.
Damn. Colour me impressed.

Has it really been almost a year since this was made... My gods how time has flown. Life changes but not I it seems to be able to recall the passing feeling. I am even more happy to see that you have come back to me in praise and celebration of my work even still, I was afraid your life was too busy for the likes of little artistic folk such as myself. I am so very, very happy to see your words once again; it has been even longer since we spoke even before this photo was made. I hope that your art is still being developed, I wish to see more from you and how far you have come. You were always one of my inspirations after all. I was motivated to draw because of your work, all that time ago. Much of my life has changed since you last spoke to me. I have a new love, a new home, new adventures. Although I love and very much miss the past, I always look towards new beginning and ends. Perhaps in that way, you and I could start to become more active on DeviantArt and share more of our work. I know I have rarely come to this site, and when I do it is not much that I post.. But something tells me I should share more now.
