Description Necroscope fanart. This is Drakesh and Drukul descendant. He poses as a leader of a monk order (of vampires) and this guy is EEEEVVVOOOL!! He was one of the few vamphyri who could grow membranous wings and fly, he also had control over the albino bats in the area. He was a gruesome vampire and was one of the ones that made my skin crawl the most.

He's terrible in the books. He drinks blood through pores on his skin.Β

I'm not sure anymore. It's been years, and I've lost my book collection to storage.Β

Yes, it was very refreshing reading something that did more justice to vampires. In the last 15-20 years it's been looking pretty grim for vampires. Female Urban fantasy novels/teenage movies/cheesy sci-fi channel series....poor vampires have been defanged.

The thing with me is that even the "darker" vampire fantasy from the guys who hate the girly romantic vampires is really lacking some bite. It's like they've hit a wall in terms of vampires and Brian Lumley broke it.

I liked 30 days of night, they were very mean. I am a loyal fan of Brahm Stoker's Dracula, read the book and it was even sweeter than the movie. Ann Rice is ok I guess, they are a little emo and not very demonic. The coolest vampire I have ever seen, in terms of pure visual, is Dracula in the movie Van Helsing when he is in full form transformation, THAT is a vampire. Even his wives were badass looking. Come to think of it, Van Helsing had the coolest Werewolves in any movie as well. Underworld was ok, but they were clunky and clumsy looking and less wolf like and more carniverous hairy ape with wolf-like qualities. Again, Van Helsing may not be a horror and a funny action movie but it has the gratest looking Vamps and Lycans. I was dissapointed with Wolfman, even though it was badass and I loved it, I don't like visious ewok/wookie werewolves, reminds me of teen wolf too much. Give a werewolf a wolf head always and it will be badass, not hairy man face.

I liked the movie Thirty Days of Night better than the graphic nove. Dracula from Van Helsing was fun but my favorite Dracula was the one played by Christopher Lee in Hammer Films. His bloodshot eyes scared the hell out of me.

Well, I shouldn't say i liked Dracula himself from Vanhelsing, what I did like was his true form, the hellbeast version of him. i though, "THAT is a vampire worth fearing." It made me feel very castlevania.
