Personal art done yesterday between commissions but didn't upload :I Featuring my newest character, Crisstiana! Criss for short c:I snatched her from *Kaitshelter and she previously belonged to her friend. She's so gorgeous aaa I wanna draw her so much ;u;
Tried another kind of shading + background practice, as well as lineart change. It's kind of thin ouo Me likey~
Isn't this girl gorgeous? I love her

The character doesnt really blend in with the background! She's kinda just there. Adding some sand around her paws and adding shadow on the ground will let her blend in more. Especially shading on the ground will help!
The other thing that bothers me is the horizon. It's too low for the perspective. The lower the horizon is, the lower the viewer! I'd say the viewer would be at the same height, so the horizon should be at the height of the eyes. It takes away a lot of sky but that can be fixed by making the canvas longer and adding more sky there!

Damn I swore I did shade under her but it's like gone! I'l probably edit the background or apply the perspective things on future drawings uvu What you said really made sense- the horizon is quite bothersome |D

perspecitve is hard and takes time to practice!! I didn't even know about it until about 3 months ago while figure drawing but ye vuv also, the lower the light source, the longer the shading on the ground will be!
