Readers of Fallout Equestria: Influx, say hello to the extension of the fic's villain. I-02 IS.

I-02 IS is a unique Mark 2 Infiltrator and the only Mark 2 not sealed within the Production Facility's vault. It was sent out to retrieve I-01 (Crystal Eclair's machine name) as she holds the key for flesh to bind to mineral material such as metal.

I-02 IS was originally created not for the purpose of Project Infiltrator, it was in fact created to be a vessel to grant a pony immortality but the pony helping him betrayed him and got his consciousness sealed in a computer. As for I-02 IS the skin applied to it was sabotaged so that it would die and decay so the secret to getting the flesh to bind to metal could not be obtained when the consciousness assumed control of the computer systems. So as a result the machine lost its skin as it waited around to finally be of use and it finally got a purpose when I-01 was detected entering the Marejave region of Equestria.

After leaving the facility the first thing the machine did was kill a Desert Ranger pony, first copying his voice before killing him and taking his Desert Ranger armour to conceal its black metal endoskeleton from the public eye. The machine then sets out to track down I-01 to bring it back to the facility. The tail of the machine is a new invention that was first introduced in Project Infiltrator, hundreds, maybe thousands of tiny strands of cables the size of a equine hair, making up a convincing tail but can also move which in turn can be used to manipulate objects. The invention was called "Nano-Fibre"

I-02 IS will also name itself when it finally arrives at a population centre and has to mingle with the public to remain hidden. When asked what its called it can't give out its machine name so it quickly scans the local area and finds a sign that holds a name that the machine likes and so it gives out the name it will then go by when around ponies and that name is "Nexus". Ponies will start to refer to him as Ranger Nexus because of his Desert Ranger disguise.
