Description WARNING!!!! Fullveiw is very big.

I have not seen a picture yet that shows the construction phases of Titanic until the completed product so i decided to have a go. I hope i did ok.

First we have the Titanic as she was started in 1909 with her keel, the backbone to which everything was connected.

1910 we have Titanic's ribbing and hull plating, i had no idea how the superstructure's ribbing went so i didn't include it, i couldn't find any refrences of her rib stage.

1911, Titanic's outter shell was completed and she was launched, at this stage she was identical to her sister, Olympic but unlike her sister she wasn't launched with a while hull.

Late 1911, i used a photograph that showed that she had a single funnel in place with her Boat-Deck almost finished, hew two masts in place but at this stage she didn't have her Bridge.

Early March 1912, at this stage her lightboats were installed but her A-Deck Promenade was still open.

1st April 1912, Titanic is now completed and ready for her sea trails. It wasn't until the 2nd of April when she took her trails and by midnight of the 3rd she left Belfast for the last time to be docked at her home port of Southampton.

Thank you for takin the time to view this, please comment.

It would be cool if you draw the wreck after her completion . And yeah the stern is the toughest to draw since she's messed up . I can draw the bow easily but for the stern , I just make up some of it's damage as long that I know her stern's sides , decks and hulls are ripped offΒ

from a few pictures ive seen of titanic's constructuion. the hull had one single color, black, and this made me think that the 3 ships had a beggining color before being painted

olympic: white

titanic: black

britannic/gigantic: grey

(just something that i noticed with a picture of the titanic during consruction) Β www.google.com/search?q=raise+…

Why did they closed some of the A deck promenade? What I heard is that Bruce Ismay closed a part of Titanic's A Deck Promenade because there're less passengers using the promenade deck in Olympic. Is it true?

Lex-the-Pikachu In reply to AlanceQ34 [2011-01-15 13:47:29 +0000 UTC]

i have no idea but the promenade was never closed, only a section of the wall was closed up to have windows, thats why Olympic and Titanic's A-Deck seems different

For 'close' i mean the promenade walls. But tks for the info.

Bruce Ismay and her builder noticed those areas on Olympic had little passenger activty when the weather was picking up and even when sunny where not as popular. So on Titanic and Gigantic(renamed Britannic) these where enclosed Β to be more weather friendly and create addtional paying customer capacity.

thank you, i'm glad you like them.

Do not upload them to anywhere else, someone already ripped off my Lusitania and Mauretania drawings and I had them deleted from the site they were posted at.
