Kimmie and Miss Go reenact the infamous Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates "Carrot Scene" from the 1984 cult film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

As a woman, this turns me on because this turns men on. XD
As a woman who prefers women, this does not turn me on a bit.

This cartoon was not supposed to be erotic. It was intended to be ridiculous.

Wow, I love the coloring on this, and the details on Shego's jackety thing. AND THE CARROTS. THEY ARE SUCH SUGGESTIVE CARROTS

This seen is taken almost verbatim from the Eighties cult film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Phoebe Cates actually wore this denim jacket with knit cuffs.

Ah, okay! I've never seen that movie myself, so to me it just looked like a cute Kigo picture. It definitely works on that level, too!

THANX. I confess that I have never seen FT@RH. I have seen certain clips endlessly repeated on Eighties ngia shows so I'm familiar with this and other notorious scenes.

No thanks. I really shouldn't be throwing as much time as I have into my own DA works without first knowing if they will sell.

THANX. Oddly enough Phoebe Cates wore a denim jacket and a blue striped synthetic-silk blouse while Jennifer's character wore what appears to be a wool blend sweater and a cotton-polyester shirt. If I had to guess, the preppy-look that Kimmie is in would have had a greater off-the-rack cost, particularly when accesorized but what appears to be a genuine gold pendant.

I'm impressed by your research and knowledge! But then, also, in the end, it's a question of how the clothes fit you and how you wear them, and Shego's colour-coordinated (not green) outfit looks great. (also, she seems to eat with a bit better table manners....)

In the movie, JJL is holding her carrot more daintily. I went for the lowbrow comedy.

But sometimes a carrot isnΒ΄t just a carrot, like banana

The original "Saturday Night Live" cast did a sketch called "Great Moments in Her-story" in which Freud is depicted analyzing his daughter Anna's dream of going through a railway tunnel naked with all her male cousins while eating a banana. The punchline is: "Sometimes a banana is just a banana Anna!"
Is that how the Eighties girl group "Bananarama" chose their name?

They didnΒ΄t think a banana is just a banana, some pop groups need this sort of names for their start in music business (modern example Pussycat Dolls) and producers invent something, or maybe they liked bananas, who knows. But we can say the same about milk and ice. Sometimes they arenΒ΄t just milk and ice cream.

Gawd, those fuzzy sweaters. Exquisite as Kimber's blazing locks are, the powder blue & pink strain the eyes. That jacket sure works for Mme. Go, though.
As for the carrots...hey, if they work as a prop for Bugs Bunny, who are we to judge?
Of course, whenever anyone mentions "Fast Times" my mind's eye just leaps to the Imaginary Pool Scene(TM). 'Nuff said there...and come to think of it, that guy's restaurant "career" is reminiscent of Ron's fixation on Bueno Nacho.
Sean Penn: "Awesome, Stoppable!"

I actually consulted screen captures of the outfits worn by Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates in that scene.
It is obvious that the costume designer for the film wanted to externalize the mindsets of the two characters in terms of wardrobe.
BTW: They are essentially wearing timecapsules for the specific year of 1984.
It was not my intention to revist FTARH, but ...
