"HEX" ran for 2 seasons in Britain before being cancelled. The actor who played the fallen angel in "HEX" is now appearing in the new X-Men" movie as the younger Magneto.

It was pretty good, though uneaven. Imagine a cross between "Supernatural" and "Smallville" and you get the picture. It was a high school teen angst thing with demons. The first season was a bit like "Dark Shadows". The second season looked more like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

Mmm, seems a little like a hodge-podge... I like Supernatural and Buffy and I... tolerated Smallville, but I haven't heard of Dark Shadows either.

"Dark Shadows" is a legendary vampire soap opera that ran on ABC from 1966-72. It has the distinction of being the only fantasy genre TV series to have over 1000 episodes. It was briefly revived by NBC as a prime time show in 1990-91.
HOWEVER...
Tim Burton has acquired the rights to the show. He plans to direct a feature film starring Jonny Depp as the 200 year old vampire Barnabus Collins.

Come to think of it, there's definitely just a bit of personality overlap between "Ronnie" and Shego herself. Of course, Shego balances out her verbal assaults with physical aggression, but still.
I'm frankly astounded anyone even remembers "Tripping the Rift"...man, was that an assault on my eyes & ears. And ye gods, is Thelma's modus operandi a little ghoulish. Does she ever make the rounds in a burial shroud or tuxedo, for lack of more fashionable options?

I've just posted a picture of Veronica on a subject that I was considering for some time. Unfortunately Shego has the wrong eyecolor to join Ronnie's club. Instead she has the credentials to get into Maleficent's.
YES! There is an episode of HEX in which another of Thelma's desires is met in the most ghoulish way imaginable but I won't give away any spoilers.
Like "Futurama", "Tripping the Rift" is actually coming back with new episodes!

I must say, E.D.'s motif grows on me with each viewing....perhaps it's the pink/black contrast. In addition, Kim's cheer-cohorts look far classier than the norm, so fine work 'maturing' them a bit. As for the pair on the right, Mme. Go's transparent number is a not-unpleasant surprise...but for a second there I thought Ron/Leon had raided June Cleaver's dresser drawer. Interesting necklace choice there.

Had I entitled this picture "Kim Crew in College" or something like that, it would have been accepted without question. The cast of "HEX" was far too mature to be playing teenagers (like Buffy).
Kim-as-Elle was born in the 16th Century. She combines lots of leather and lace.
While making this I realized just how slutty women's fashions have become in the 2000's!
Bonnie-as-Thelma cut looking like SIX from "Tripping the Rift"! In the series Thelma is a ghost who can only wear the togs of the newly dead (don't expect logic from HEX). She raids the local morgue for her wardrobe. Talk about getting it off the rack! There must have been a new Ripper at work on the local streetwalkers!
Shego-as-Roxanne is a character who is a Veronica Lodge like snob. She likes showing it off.
Ron-as-Leon is wearing a stainless steel chain that says: "I'm cool but NOT gay!"

When I decided to do this picture I had not appreciated that the KP audience is so much bigger than the fan base of HEX. The show only ran in the UK for 17 episodes. It actually follows a story arc with a beginning a middle and an end. Both seasons are now available on DVD. Perhaps SciFi or another US network will pick it up for rebroadcast. I suspect that fans of shows like KP or Buffy TVS will also like HEX.
