This is one of the most impressive life reconstructions that I have ever seen. I consider it second only to the life-sized blue whale model at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. This is a detail of the life-sized replica of a Tyrannosaurus rex on display at the Fort Peck Information Center at the Fort Peck dam in Montana. The color scheme is somewhat reminiscent of that of an American alligator. When standing under this thing one gets a gut level impression of just how huge these creatures were.

It is based on the Tyrannosaurus rex specimen known as "Peck's Rex".
