Description The Drib is a creature closely related to the bird. In essence, it is in fact a bird that had taken a different path of evolution, one with a twist, or a reverse, if you may. Unlike other paths of evolution taken by the birds, the Drib, Pedpterra Pterraped (foot-wing wing-foot) has developed most differently. Rather than developing the front appendages as wings and the rear as legs, the Drib has evolved ‘backwards’, with it’s rear legs as wings for flight, and it’s front for perching or movement upon the ground. This major bodily difference, along with other Physical and mental Characteristics deem the Drib as its own species, completely apart from the bird, which is now looked at as only a close cousin.

Other characteristics that categorize the Drib as one in its own, include minor skeletal differences other than the major differences in leg structure, including a larger brain cavity, the lack of a keel bone, and other minor alterations. There is also a difference in muscle layout, the presence of an elongated tail, and ears. Scientists believe the structure of the tail evolved to act as a balance to the odd positioning of the legs. When observed in its natural environment, the Drib seems to use it’s tail in a tripod-like manner when resting at a standstill, or to better cling to a branch when precariously perched. Why the drib developed feathery tufted ears is still unknown other than for adornment reasons or to better its hearing.

It is believed that many other varieties/species of Drib have yet to be discovered, much like, and similar to birds. This particular, and first discovered, species of Drib can be looked at as being the equivalent to a raptor, or bird of prey, in its actions, feeding habits, family structure, and size. If you or a friend find any information on the Drib, or any other kind of Drib, please contact the totally bogus and fake e-mail address that isn’t going to be provided..

For ‘s creature contest, not the best picture, but I put most of my effort into making it believiable.

–Feel free to create a drib! All you have to do is find a bird that you like and give it the ol’ switcheroo, though please give the idea of a drib some credit to me if you do so, this is the basic drib, it’s a model of the species. Hummingbirdian Dribs and Red tailed hawkian Dribs, are taken (by me) tell me if you create one, I’ll add them to the list! Help the dribs take flight!--
