More Mass Effect fanart. Yes, I am addicted. I don't deny it, nor am I ashamed.
Another drawing I did for a ME2 meme, but I liked how it came out so I decided to upload it on its own. Shiala's not even a major character by a longshot, but for whatever reason I've grown quite attached to her.
Plus, a green asari? Hawt. Blue alien ladies = overrated.

She has a lot more "Go-get-em" attitude in this shot, which I like a lot...and while I will profess a general inclination toward blue asari, Shiala gives green a good name.
Still...I suppose...ahem...it's not easy, being green.

Something has always bugged me about asari... They say that being green is unnatural and that there are no green asari besides shiala... But in mass effect 1 if you simply walk around on the citadel you can count at least 10 asari that are neon green!

There's not enough shiala stuff on the net! And so far as I can tell zilch on any shiala/femshep pairings! I agree with many others i had really hoped we could have had even a dinner/shared drink scene with her in me3 or something

I actually wish she could have been a squad member. She's an interesting character, in my opinion, plus she's an asari commando, so she's qualified.

I've loved Shiala since the first game and I thought she would have had some more screen time in 2 and in 3 but I guess I was wrong. Something about her was just so cool

Not bad work at all. I thought Shiala was a rather interesting persona in ME, having gone from indoctrination at the hands of Sovereign to the Thorian's control. I'm pretty sure she's the only person to survive indoctrination with her sanity because of the Thorian's intervention (weirdly enough, because the thing liked to control minds).
I kind of wish Shepard could have gotten something going with her in ME3.

Woow, I loved Shiala back in ME1 and was wondering if we could romance her in ME3... then I found out she was GREEN... i was like WHAT!! I decided to see what a green Asari would look like (hoping for the best coz i love shiala <3)... then i came across this!

Not a fan of the asari, though Shiala is one of fine exception.
Also, green is my favourite color, so it works on many levels.
Other cool asari are Atheta and Rana if only for their dispositions.

Uhh, nice work! Gotta say, I like them blue AND green, but Shiala was one of the few that got stuck in my mind. Her first appearance was just too damn sexy, the glittering skin making her look all the more exotic, and as if that would not be enough she had that tight black suit. Phew. And those marks!

Shiala is one of my favourite Asari in Mass Effect, and this picture is definitely the best I've seen. I like that you've imbued her (to my eyes at any rate) with a wry sensibility that I've not seen elsewhere. A glimmer of something else behind her usual serious and dour countenance. And yes, GREEN FOR THE WIN!

I thought after drawing it that maybe she looked too hard or sarcastic or something, but I figure that she's a former commando and she's been through a lot of crap over the past few years (and managed to come out of it all alive and with her sanity intact) so... she's entitled to look that way if she wants.
