Wow. Great job. I love the grit and pitting on the armor. And I have to say it, normally I don't like the Mark II armor they gave the Clones in Episode 3, but you've done wonders with it.

Well it's more than that. He has to approve every book/storyline that comes down the pike first, so it's more like people are adding to his universe for him, saving him a lot of effort.
Now maybe if he plots the last three movies (if he does them) for like after the latest New Jedi Order series books I could see that.

Except that fanfiction assumes that permission isn't received to begin with. These aren't fanfics though since Lucas is very much involved in the process.
Ah well, I don't see him doing making the next three movies to take place right after the originals. More like several years down the road with another new crew, maybe bring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamil in for small roles. Who knows right?
The NJO series is great. Far better than some of the other books that had come out prior to them, in my opinion.

i meant in the sense that you're dealing with characters/worlds/universe created by someone else before...
i enjoyed the x-Wing series. More so when M. Stackpole was still writting it... and I, Jedi. and Zahn's Heir To The Empire trilogy.

Well if you wanted to go with that, you could say that any books created after the original creator gave permission would be fanfiction. Though I'd imagine that the publishers would argue the point since money is involved. *shrugs*
The XWing series rocked. I've contemplated trying to create a TIE Fighter series for the same time period. I'm surprised it wasn't done.
