Dang, man, looks great! That silenced M1911 is pretty rediculously spot-on. I presume you used a reference? Btw, this is much appreciated. I hate to see someone who is otherwise a fabulous artist with brilliant figurework and anatomy throw a perfectly good picture down the toilet with a nasty, watergun-looking blob of brown and grey that they're trying to pass off as a gun. Only thing that'd be off is the really high, really long back sight. Most of them are slotted into a horizontal groove in the slide and are much lower-profile (Search for Bo-mar, Novak, or Heine sights on Google or something). But yeah, looks good. Love the shading.Say you did it in PS? Did you just fill and use paintbrushing in different shades of gray?

Reference is totally used. Although the 1911 design is so distinctive, even if the proprotions are a little off, the drawing still looks resonably close.
all shading and solid BG work were done in PS. many layers of gradients were applied in various directions, shapes, and opacity adjustments were used in combination to acheive the desired effect.

hmmm, reminds me of an old Jim Lee drawing. the pose i mean, the pose reminds me of a jim lee sketch i once saw.
this one looks pretty cool, LHS, but i think his eyes are a little too close together or something. i sense something wrong with his eyes .
i see you are still in the metal gear solid stage. on the same note, i have just beat MGS3 on extreme mode. and let me tell you, it was extremely hard. haaahaha.
