Description
This was for a pitch I put together for a Marvel Knights story, it's the Hulk and the Leader fused - brain and brawn! I've been hoping it might go ahead but after two years trying I've finally accepted it's not going to happen. So here it is for your entertainment instead!Related content

Season 1 was great. Hokey at times, but good clean kid fun (90's kid fun. Not the "modern day" stuff.)
Season 2 was done to please feminists, and as such, was so bad it was at least part of the reason why the show was canceled so quickly.

this picture is too awesome, but I always wondered what you exactly mean by "fused". Is it just some armor keeping them together or are they physically attached underneath that shell?

Damn, I love your HULK!! even fused to the Leader. I take it that's poor old Hulks mouth in the middle of the chest piece. so he does still have his head? Is this the only drawing you did for this concept?

do you think that the pitches that do get accepted aren't based on any objective craftmanship, but based on whoever's considered hot at the time, or perhaps cos of editors who have their personal favourite creators?
or are the decisions now made by godawful marketing depts?

Quite often it seems like it's down to marketing - I had a Death's Head reboot with Bryan Hitch passed up for that reason. Not considered commercial enough. As for the other reasons, hard to say, though that feels in the right ball park. The thing is there are a lot of new, cheeper guys out there! I'm an old pro on a top(ish) rate. They have a plethora of hungry young things knocking their doors down...

With the old marvel Uk it would have been possible. Just another proof of the big guns being party poopers.
You should make him blue instead and have one shot story fletched out or throw this into 2000AD. As an all creator owned character. Easy peasy.

The thing is it relies on Hulk mythology. You have to know the Hulk and the Leader for it to work really. It WAS a very dark story though...

Hmmm,hmm's - in my eyes the backstory can be a long story short (maybe drawn out at a later point) summaried but i don't see any reason to not give it a try. Best is that there is a mythology to copy that would it make so familiar/round, i think the concept would still work without the all Hulk/Leader bg - the bulky coloss, personification of free will, imprisoned in the body of a ill leaded logical maniac? A world defeated? ... blabla

Thanks man. Who knows what it takes to get a pitch accepted? I must have pitched upward of twenty stories now to DC and Marvel, to no avail. The thing is I've seen stories that sucked get through. Very confusing!
