Description
This is the piece that landed me the Manthing gig I did with J.M DeMatteis a decade back. Again it was coloured - and very nicely too - but I still prefer it in black and white.Another career high point this one I think.
L.
NOTE: This piece has had WAAAAAY more favs and views than the page I posted from the X-Men issue I drew many years ago [link] It's Great to see Manthing trounce the X-Men!!! LOL!

An absolute Masterpiece
Brings back fond memories also of the 70's horror works of Bernie Wrightson and also the fantasy of Barry Windsor Smith, and yes I'm that old lol. Again..a true masterpiece.

Great work! I enjoyed reading Man-Thing! I liked Swamp Thing better but, toe-to-toe, Man-Thing could take Swamp Thing--IF he could scare him (who knows fear burns at the Man-Thing's touch).

i loved your man-thing run. most especially that short included in marvel's black and white. that's just so sweet, with no colors to distract.

Seems I may have misread. This got you the old job right?
I wish you were doing man-thing again.
It does look better in black and white.

Liam,
I was working on a piece this morning that wasn't going well,l but I figured I'd stick with what I had just to get it done. On seeing this piece I'm saying fuck that and going back to the drawing board until I come up with something good. Way to motivate my ass. Thanks man.

Hey, when did Man-Thing steal Gandalf's staff???
This is awesome. I've always loved Man-Thing. I remember I had an issue of some Spiderman comic when I was a kid (30+ years ago) that featured Man-Thing. I've been intrigued by the character ever since.

In the story Man thing got pretty awesome - and actually wise! He carried a staff and turned pure white. There was even a kind of Mermanthing in one issue featuring Namor! Some of my best work ever.
Thanks and very best,
L.
