Description
This was a spread from my Manthing run for Marvel in the 1990s. I recoloured it recently for inclusion in my book The Shed, a tribute to Jeff Jones and the other artists of The Studio, Bernie Wrightson, Michael Kaluta and Barry Windsor-Smith. This piece was directly inspired by those guys.Related content

This must be my recent musical affliction shining through, but this is very psychedelic to me. Love it and it's an amazing tribute.

I love this.
I like the way the colors enhance the drawing rather than obscure the original pen and ink.
You really love to draw, you spent time on the back ground. The hundreds of small fish swimming off in the distance can only be fully appreciated in the full view.
Awesome job.

TBH i find it hard to look at it, the eye just gets confused by all the detail and stuff. Took me like 15 secs to figure out what's going on. I am not familiar with the art of the guys u mentioned but i have to say i like your other works much more.I am not critisizing , the technique and all the detail are awesome , u've put a lot of effort in it for sure but i like your other style more Expecially your pencils and inks!!!

That's one psychedelic action scene! The contrast is a little too high to convince me they're underwater (especially the background should be darker) but I don't really mind. The composition and colors are captivating enough.

I honestly don't know how you do it. Amazing visuals as always. The detailing is awe inspiring to say the least and the colors perfectly suit the aquatic setting. Fabulous and breathtaking.

Yeah! I great inspiration. Somehow she completed Frazetta. Frazetta's work was extrovert, while Jones' was introvert.
