It's funny - sometimes warm-ups are the best thing you draw all day! I think it's something about not trying too hard and letting it flow...

I understand that completely. When I feel like trying, I will usually sit and stare at my blank paper... wait a second, I marked a line 1 cm wide... then I'll stare some more, and the simple drawing will drag on into a couple-months project. I guess it's because I worry about the end result so much that I hesitate to the point I don't get anything done, but when I just let my hand and mind wander, then something actually worth looking at is produced.

Thank you! My youngest son is 9 and his teacher wanted a picture of a superhero, so I did this for the class.

It was traditionally inked - very quickly! Really was a glorified sketch! Coloured digitally though.
