Description
Fullview PleaseMy favorite fps, Heretic. Gothic fantasy horror has never been done so well. I love this game.
Here we see our hero, the sidhe elf, Corvus, beset by disciples of D'sparil in a dank cesspool, deep in the Domes of D'sparil. Carnage will ensue.

Edit: 6/10/09 Noticed on ~RavenScarlett 's monitor, that the highlights on the disciples' robes didn't blend/were too bright. I wanted to blame it on the gamma settings, but realistically a good painting should look at least coherent no matter what monitor you're looking at it on, so I tried to fix it. Let me know how it looks now.

This is brilliant The atmosphere is perfect, and the angle gives it just that little extra bit of intensity. Makes me want to play some Heretic, too.

This definitely looks worthy enough to be on the cover of a novel.

Maybe I should start getting a portfolio together so I can start sending it out to companies when I get my associate degree...

Hell, yeah. You should totally do that. You should also do a novel cover illustration for the book I'm working on right now lol That'd be amazing... I'd pay you... yes... <.<;; Let us look into that.

Haven't written anything for your stuff in a while, but this one called for it. Very well done; I like your use of the brown tones and the dramatic effect of purple spellcasting. Good use of lighting, and the whole scene definitely has a dungeon/boss fight feel.

Thanks, I'm flattered! The browns were surprisingly fun to work with, and I always love some good purple spellcasting.
I'm glad you like the lighting, I'm very proud of it, and even if it was not a boss fight to begin with, it makes me happy to know someone thinks it's that epic.

Man, that Tome just fucking rocks, and the water looks great now.
Still think the background would make a rad wallpaper.

If I felt like filling in and adjusting for where the characters are covering up/interacting with the environment...
I don't know... maybe someday.
for now, I'm content to just slap the "Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders" on it

hah, uh kind of a long story...
So, my boyfriend and I were watching Soylent Green a few years back and we noticed that they referred to women as "furniture" in the movie because they treated them like objects. He jokingly started calling me "furniture" and since I was in french class at the time I tried saying "je suis les meubles" but since my french is terrible it came out more like "jay swiss less moobles". After that he started calling me moobles and somehow I stillhave the nickname "moobles". Sorry that needed such a long explanation, lol.
