I'm from the future. I went 88 miles per hour on my Cinderace to go back in time to let you know:
It's not fire/fighting.
I'll be honest... I actually wanted it to be.

After seeing and using Cinderace I really think he should have been Fire/Fighting. I mean, of all the ones to NOT make Fire/Fighting I can't believe it was the bunny who battles with his feet! He kicks fireballs for pete's sake haha.

Aside from his type though, I absolutely adore Cinderace. I'm just hoping we'll get the hidden ability starters soon so that they'll be useful in battle.

Rabbits are burrowers, so Ground makes sense.
If speed is the focus, Electric can work. Maybe Flying if they go the Dodrio route (strong legs and great jumping = flight).
Fighting is always a possibility if Game Freak don't listen to their fans. I wouldn't mind if they actually made the Fire-Fighting starter good competitively with a great design.

And it's not that fire/fighting is a bad combination, I just like to shake it up and get some individuality to the different starters. Three in a row that have the same typing makes that typing combo kind of annoying. Hoping for something cool like Fire/Electric or Fire/Ice!
