Thanks again! And you are right on about the mountains being a little disconnected. I started the mountains for another piece but moved them into this one when I had trouble making a suitable background. So they were really built as two separate pieces.

I love the rough style, especially his face. The falcon is great too, and the whole thing expresses very well his watchful loneliness in the mountains. He seems a very interesting character

It's all digital painting done in Paint Shop Pro with a Wacom tablet. His eyes are suppose to be obscured by shadow... but I don't know that it came across very well. Thanks for the

Thank you very much for the high praise. I'm not an ornithologist, so I was hoping I didn't screw up the bird too badly. 
As for the elf's face... I had a completely different face on him to begin with. I didn't like how it was turning out so I erased the face and added this one. I'm glad you like it.

Hehe, I often use eraser in my works... Erasing something and adding something new... That's funny but that's the way it goes!
