This isn't right. If discord is a fourth-dimensional being, his awareness on all points in time should be in sync. It's fine for plot convenience though, I wonder how it would turn out :3

Hmm... Is there a proof somewhere? I never heard before that Discord is a fourth-dimensional being. I always thought that he has just a very powerful chaotic power, that's all.

There was a comic where discord took the CMC & Fluttershy back in time for a field trip. It showed that discord has the idea of how time works and can manipulate it at his will. I interpreted it then as is, if discord can perceive length, width, height and time, he's fourth dimensional.
I've already finished the comic and the way Discord was handled was pretty fun, not gonna spoil anything :3.

Paradox manipulation/sustainment. one of discords many powers. Also fourth and potentially fifth dimensional manipulation, and reality/fantasy manipulation. All of these could explain what happened.
