If you read what Ghetsis says, however, she says that he wants you to watch as the world you strived to protect crumbles away, while you are powerless to prevent it. Kinda hard to watch something if you are dead. Theirs also the scenes in Keldo and the Swords of Justice movie where Cobalion, Terrakion, and Verizion are all frozen in ice by Kyurem.
