Description Sooo, after the last couple of pieces I did, which, while decent, had glaring problems with them, I wanted to do a piece I could be happy about. Not that this is perfect, but I feel it is a lot better than my past few deviations.

I looooove Collosus... he is awesome. The thing that always gets me though, is that when people draw him, he always looks angry. Which, while he does have a temper, he is actually an artist at heart, more content to paint and write than fight. I tried to get that here, the moment he has to put down what he wants to do, to once again put the bad guys in their place.

This is also pretty acurate of my life right now... everytime I get into a drawing or Maya, I get pulled away to do a much more noble cause. We both do what we have to, to help our family... me my brothers, him his sister. You drop it for family... it is just what you do.

:EDIT: Added those paint splotches... and the highlight in his hair.
So him and I seem to have quite a lot in common... minus his cool ability to wreck shop.

Didn't know Colossus had an artsy-fartsy side? Pretty zen of you to bring out the big man's softer side...Love the crazy linework and awesome coloring of everything...Love how you drew him both in his human and metal forms...Dig the hippie pants and green flip flops...Like the Godfatherly hair and expression on his face too...And lastly the paintbrush and paint blotches brings funny and amusing symbolism to the the artwork that states that no matter how big or scary you look, you can still have good side...Not everything huge has to bring about fear, chaos and destruction...Beauty is truly everywhere you look...Great job and as a Colossus fan, I thank you for drawing him.

yeah... I need some longer, thinner splotches on his pants. I will change it for the prints I sell at con...

the face splotches stay though... cause I do that, and it makes me happy!

I love your twist on all the Marvel chracters. I'm a huge Pioter fan, the man just rocks. I like how you did this, though I do half wish he were messy, completely lost in his work with a bit of red paint on his chin and shoulder. I also think that might help tie the red into the image, rather than just having it off on the very side. Lovely work.
