I've actually had some time to draw lately, and some X-men fan art sounded like fun.First up is Colossus. Like when I drew him 5 years ago , I wanted to focus on his personality a little more. But this time I wanted to get beyond just his superficial appearance of the stripper boots and Drago haircut and try to show his more organic, farmer personality vs his industrial metal skin.
I might have to go back and add some dirt/paint to his paints, because I really think it will tie it all together...

yeah, I thought it felt a lot more Russian and industrial than chrome. I also tried to give him a slight "farmer's tan" by making his arms rustier past his sleeves.
