I know that Tadashi makes great fangirl bait. Β I realize he has the looks, brains, and caring personality. Β However, I think by saying that Tadashi is alive in Big Hero 6 contradicts a big reason why the story works. Β Specifically, Hiro having to emotionally overcome the death of his brother. Β In fact, his order for Baymax to attack Yokai with no mercy was likely driven by the idea that Yokai started the fire that killed his brother (in actuality, how the fire started is unknown).

Also, the front of this vehicle should be wider and have two wheels. Β That would make it more stable. Β While the center of gravity is lower on this vehicle than it is on a Reliant Robin, you do not want to risk it being tipped over easily.Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQh56g…

I definitely agree about the story being better if Tadashi is dead. I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm glad Disney made the choices they did. That doesn't mean I can't give some love to this character though

Also, you make a good point about the stability of the vehicle, but I was actually going for this vibe:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJwV3b…

Friend : Dude, get over it. It's debunked, Tadashi is de-
Me : TADASHI'S FIIIIIIINE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT *prances around crying and laughing*

Thought of that incident when I saw this /\ . /\

The artwork is really great; the armor seems to git his style, and the creativity of it is fabulous!

I admire your art! Β  Not just the details, but the creative power behind it.
(so to speak)
If one of the Big Hero 6 members was only paralyzed or wheel-chair bound, this should have been in the movie!

Thank you! I would have been happy to see Tadashi live and be a part of the team, but maybe that's just me.

Plus, you know how Hiro specializes in "miniaturizing"?
This wheelchair idea could be how Hiro would miniaturize Tadashi's moped.

So I finally got around to seeing this movie, it was indeed far better than I had expected for a Disney film.Β  Personally I do love a good sad story, and there wasn't the usual cliche' romance/marriage theme in the end either.Β  It was very well rounded, had its twists and turns and little surprises too.Β  I like this idea, now that I understand it

It was a great film overall, and I definitely appreciate films that don't involve romance but are still about relationships. It's a good one!

it was a nice breath of fresh air from the typical Disney styled film ^^

You keep saying that, but I guess I'm not sure what you mean. What does "Disney film" generally mean to you?

I should also specify that Disney's "Golden" years, while follow the typical recipe, also held deeper plot.Β  Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are amazing.Β  I think much of my rant/dislike comes from the semi recent saturated market they've made of themselves.Β  Both in movies and on the Disney Channel.

I can't deny that some of their more recent stuff reeks of "We're doing this to make money" But I generally don't have a problem with the formula as long as it's used tastefully.Β
Better yet is when they KNOW they're using the formula and then they surprise you by changing it up!

I've heard they did a couple surprises in Frozen (though the hype and marketing surrounding it has really turned me off from seeing it) and there were some surprises in Big Hero 6 as well.

I'm more used to originality in plots, after watching the entirety of the original The Twilight Zone, Fraggle Rock, The Story Teller and some of Miyazaki's works, I can't look at standard movies and media the same anymore

Ha, sorry, I do tend to repeat myself (could also be in part of my Disney rant) To me I see a lot of cliche' story plot being used, especially with their princess movies.Β  It's the typical recipe: Princess has an evil mother/guardian/being held captive, finds a prince, stuff happens, romance fall in love marriage at the end.Β  Many of their sequels don't hold the princess side of it, but their plots are still shallow.Β  Mulan 2, Peter Pan 2, Hunchback 2 to name a few.Β  Anything "original" Disney (not Pixar/Marvel/other companies they've bought) usually ends up being really generic and made for marketing purposes.Β
