oh i completely forgot!! Super great transition to another!! that must have taken lots of planning to make it through! and I loved the idea of extending the scene but it broke my heart knowing he didn't have the time to REALLY reach next to Callaghan with the microbots, but the important part was that he was happy that he ATLEAST tried to help selflessly but that didn't end well at all... All that said, really outstanding comic!! I really so much enjoyed it ;;u;

Tadashi's only thought was that he needed to save the professor, so it makes sense that he'd be glad to see he was going to be okay. I mean, "my friend is actually a fiend???" is rarely the first thought to spring to mind.
Bonus brownie points for the look in Callaghan's eye right before the end. Of course he would have felt terrible about that.

I'm not sure if I buy the ending. Tadashi would've been more confused, leaning towards enraged.

Tadashi would have thought that Callaghan was able to find the bots and save himself as defense, "able to find an angle" to help himself out of his situation. Why would Tadashi think that his beloved prof started the fire? All he sees is the man saving himself through a smart outlet, and is happy that Callaghan will live.

Tadashi never got that far. The flames were too hot and the smoke was too thick to see Callaghan. The last thing Tadashi saw was the support beam that crashed down on him when he heard a crack above his head. Then the building exploded.

You got on part wrong, Tadashi didn't have his hat when he was inside.

You're right, Tadashi didn't have his hat on when he went inside. Perhaps my formatting is confusing, but the bluish part is a flashback to a time a couple years before the explosion when Callaghan taught Tadashi about looking for a new angle. The yellowish color indicates Tadashi being in the present, in the burning building. So Tadashi's hat flies off at the beginning, but when it's back on, it's a flashback.
In the end, Tadashi was able to feel happy that everyone he cared about was safe: The lighting changed on his face to indicate the incoming explosion. The very last frame is the aftermath- Hiro being left with Baymax as at least a small piece of his brother.

Honestly, I wanted Tadashi to be happy in his last moments instead of scared like he was depicted in the film. This kinda hurt to make, but at least he got some sort of closure here.
