Backstory: Lightning was born and raised in Cloudsdale, and for most of his life, he had nothing to complain about. He even got his cutie mark in a spectacular way, having redirected a stray bolt of lightning away from a young pegasus before it could hit. Once he became of age, he applied to the Cloudsdale Weather Factory, and has been employed there ever since.
