So, I realize what I'm about to say may be a bit blunt or possibly even a little cold, but I just want to state that what I'm about to say I say with the best intentions and to give my own point of view.
Generally whenever watching the YouTube videos or looking at the art I tend to avoid any mentions or glimpses of the members of the Brony community IRL. I'm much the same way with movie actors and book authors outside their works. When I look at these works I do it for a sense of enjoyment and appreciation for the wonders they manage to create that are separated from the bleakness of the real world.
I view the members of the Brony community much like these actors and authors, in that they have created wonderful and deep characters that I enjoy watching with amazing stories, yet their personal lives generally don't have much interest to me. That's not to say that I don't appreciate them as people and I am grateful for what they do. Their characters just happen to seem out of touch with reality and unmarred by it, they seem more than the people behind them, yet I acknowledge the fact that without those people the characters would not exist and could certainly never be replaced without the character feeling off in a way.
I will whole-heartedly agree that what ToonKriticY2K did was wrong and I truly do not feel much towards him beyond disgust over his action. But at the same time I never got to know the person behind the OC, I never learned his name, saw his real face, or knew how he was outside of the community. To me it's like learning an author based a character off someone they knew. It does provide new information but at the same time it doesn't seem to have changed the Toon I came to know through YouTube and Miss Lightning Bliss's artwork. I am still able to go back and genuinely enjoy the art and videos featuring the character Toon, even with the knowledge of who the person behind him was. To me they are like two different people.
I know it's not like this for everyone, especially the members of the Brony community who were close to ToonKriticY2K, who have my sympathies for this shock and betrayal. However I hope it will be of some small condolence that there is someone out there who will remember Toon unmarred by the person behind the mask. I will miss the character ToonKriticY2K, for I much doubt we shall see him ever again, but one can hold onto a flicker of hope, and with it I shall hope that all those hurt by the person behind him will eventually heal and be able to move on.

I second this! Tho I know a few details more, I would just like to move on......... BUUuuut some haters out there are making it into something that they should not nor can stop, and I speak of things I will not reiterate for shake of mind, just know there are many who wish things to be peaceful once more.

How come I'm just now learning about the news? Maybe because I was so distant with the Brony fandom for so long, its like I missed so much on what is going on.... but it seems like now, I'm glad I was distant. But I'm also heartbroken to see that this happened and how it affected everyone around the world.
Again, 2 months ago on the 7th (meaning January 7th), I just entered my adulthood and this is how I am going to live for the rest of my life? Having to grow up in a world that's filled with crime, selfishness, greed, and cold hearted people..... I was born to inspire people, not to watch as the whole world trembles in fear. I want to be the person that says, "Stand with me, and I will help you out"... Yet here we are.... Above all years... why now?

Honestly I'm in the same boat. I've been so distant that I haven't really cared much for the show and focused more on myself, school and music. But having heard about this incident over a month after it broke is heartbreaking, sad, and disgusting that this happened. I never would have thought that anyone in this community would pull something like what TK did. But now, we all have to move on, and condemn TK that what he did was wrong and hope that justice is served.
However I'd like to go an extra mile, yes what TK did was awful but I hope that TK can realize that and change for the better. I hope that one day he repents for what he has done and become a better person.
The best way I can think of this awful situation is what happened with Kesha and her ex-producer/writer Dr. Luke, however she responded after years since then with what I think is the single greatest song of last year.

I still think that this is a great community and I hope that no one else has done such vile and disgusting things like what TK and what others like Weinstein and Moore have done in regards to sexual affairs like this. And I feel nothing but sheer sorriness for the fact that Eli, Golden, Bliss, and other friends and viewers of both their and TK's videos had to know about this, myself included. I hope that this community can put this aside, and come together stronger and more united than ever before, without TK.

I'm really sorry that you lost a friend. I know how you to have lost trust in a good friend like ToonkriticY2K and I was just as shocked as you by what he did. It was right thing to do by reporting him. I hope you and the others are doing well, getting past this, and that Toon is getting the help he needs. I wish you, your friends and Toon luck through this tragedy
