Description     In the Great Plague of Kaerlund, the servicemen of the Queen developed special demonic weapons to combat the Shattered- humans, animals, and automatons corrupted by the Plague. The Plague slowly turns living things’ insides into a slimy living substance, until they decompose, leaving nothing but their skeletons. Automatons normally powered by human nervous systems turn hostile, tearing apart others and attempt to eat them with nonexistent mouths. Victims, once they are infected, lose the ability to think, and act like mindless shells of their former selves, their only apparent goal being to infecting more and more people. They cannot recognize anyone they formerly knew. Within the 13 years, an endless thunderstorm has also engulfed the land, which some scholars have belief to think has a connection with the Plague.

In their desperation, the once god-fearing kingdom of Kaerlund turned to their sciences, their technologies of steam engines, coal, and gunpowder, and their arcane arts. They developed different weapons after a multitude of experiments on victims of the Plague. The Dementirus line of revolvers were some of them. Crucible models with their hollow-point bullets are imbued with Dragonfire magic, burning the Shattered into nothing. Straider models with their full metal jacket rounds pierce through metal Shattered automatons and, infused with the magic of the Thunderhawk, overload their nervous systems with lightning.

The technique of manufacturing theme is cost-effective, but they must be Defiled by a practicioner of devil-worship for their infusions to work, as well as be embedded with parts of the creature of origin, leading to the increase in demand for Dragon and Thunderhawk parts in the kingdom of Kaerlund. Therefore only the rich can afford them. The general populace believe that they are holy weapons, but the manufacturers, users, and the royal courts that commissioned their development know otherwise. They take a mental toll on the user as well. Prolonged use can lead to some unexplained violent tendencies, and potentially, madness.

Okay, so I came up with this idea while playing Devil May Cry 4. The frame of them is based on a classic Colt revolver handle with a Chiappa Rhino revolver, one with a bottom cylinder fire.
