World of Remnant- The Imperial Grimmtroopers

These guys… Are the most interesting things or people i’ve ever heard of.

First of all, introductions. My name is Aberin Kazul, an Info Broker. I travelled to Remnant to learn more about it’s history and to take in all the knowledge there is to provide. As of now, i have only learned so much, but this topic seems… interesting to me.

So let’s begin.

These Grimmtroopers are a new variant of Grimm, built to be human in body, mind and soul. Their armor is comprised of the same bone material that regular Grimm creatures adorn on their bodies, giving them a good outer layer of protection. The only weakness being, these bones have been pierced by huntsmen and huntresses alike.

Grimmtroopers were apart of a secret underground project, some speculate that Atlas had some kind of contribution in creating. Heh, funny how humans think of the most unimaginable things, when one speaks something, they all listen and go along with it like brainless sheeps. But anyway, not to long after, they started to pop up in the forests, raiding forests along with the creatures of Grimm, building one powerful raiding force of darkness.

Some are to wonder whether these Grimmtroopers have any chain of command whatsoever, the answer, yes. Just because they fight with the creatures of darkness, doesn’t mean they’re unorganized savages. The Grimmtroopers operate on a strict ranking system, proving their worth in the heat of battle. The ladder from the lowest to the highes its: Recruit, Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain. You can tell what rank a Grimmtrooper is by the pauldron on their shoulders.

That being said, there are also many elites in the ranks that act as Battlefield commanders. These people or creatures can be recognized by some kind of special feature, like the Ursa who has a gauss cannon on his back, or the Grimmtrooper who rides a Nevermore into battle, crazy right? The main three to talk about would be Dante Ultima, Wrath and Thorns.

Let’s talk about the different divisions of Grimm. First, there is the regular Grimmtrooper corps. How these guys are recruited, nobody knows. They are the grunts of the Grimm forces and are the most versatile. They can operate human weaponry just as well as anybody and are extremely expendable. These guys are deployed in different areas to either patrol, raid or hunt.

The Swordtroopers are a division of Grimm specializing in melee combat. These guys all carry swords with a grimm textured handle and a red blade. They are used as crowd control as they also carry own a shield that can be attached to their arm. Grimm sometimes occupy villages and use the survivors as slaves, these guys make sure they don’t get too out of hand.
Seatroopers are a division of Grimmtroopers specializing in naval operations across Remnant. Their tactics are to come ashore and stay hidden until the time to strike is ordered. They can be recognized by the Grimm textured diving suit they wear and the oxygen tanks on their helmet. The most common sighting of these types of troopers are when passenger ships are invaded and taken over, or another fate.

Scrappers are Grimmtroopers who scrap old pieces of machinery and deliver them to their HQ to be processed into their own machines of war. Nothing special about them.

Now these guys, is where i draw the line. This Grimmtrooper division has one thing on their mind, genocide of humanity. These “Eradication Squads” are tasked with attacking villages, rounding up all the villagers and then… executing them on the spot. Sometimes, they leave bones, or they leave ashes. They are very feared and extreme, as their tactics are unrelenting and merciless.

Above all of them, the Grimm Triumvirate ultimately has the last say in everything. They are the council of the Grimm and is made up of three willing and devoted members. Akvik, the Ursa Baron who is the Military governor of the Triumvirate. Kosik, the Beowulf who acts like a human who is the Creature manager of the Triumvirate and Vosis, the Archpriest of the Triumvirate who oversees religious matters. But they all answer to one god, Xeath.

“Part of the job kid, come back another time and i’ll educate you further.”
