I’ve been playing Age of Calamity a LOT recently then started crushing on Astor and liked playing as Impa, so I was inspired to make two brand new versions of my OC who was made before the game, yet had similarities ranging from involvement with the Calamity to physical appearance.

**

Somehow I still suffered the “small head” thing I dealt with in the previous version rippp
I struggled with robe colors because I wanted to keep the signature color of pink, but it didn’t seem right with the tan/cream color of the BotW Sheikah attire. I also wanted her robe have some reference to Astor’s color scheme too, so I had plenty of conflicting ideas I struggled with putting into one. I knew back then that her outfit didn’t fit with the Sheikah theme in BotW and whatever I was working with now didn’t fit as much either. Then I was like “screw it, why not have a pre-corruption version to depicted that she might have looked before she turned to Astor’s temptations and manipulation?”
One might wonder, “Why does she have bicolored hair?” It could be related to a Hylian/Sheikah lineage or some error in her hair genetics, but the former may be more likely.

I imagine Aveline being a loyal and fierce member of the Sheikah until she was approached by Astor during her times of conflict, doubts, and later distrust, and he showed her a future that made sure the Royal Family paid for their past actions. It revealed to her that her people could have been powerful, but were forced to abandon the technology they created out of suspicion. What gained him her trust was displaying her future with a family and Aveline in a marriage, claiming that it will be part of the same kind of world that was foretold and proving his credibility as a fortune teller. However, it would not happen without helping Astor make it a reality. After some more separate interactions laced with Astor’s manipulation and, to an extent, seduction, Aveline felt that she didn’t belong with the clan anymore and accompanied Astor to assist him. She later gained her powers over malice, although not as strong as her new Mentor’s and her eye transformed with a dark purple sclera and gold irises as a result. Aveline’s outfit and her eyes are expressions of her loyalty to Ganon and especially Astor. Over time, through their shared desires and interests, the two developed a close connection nearly akin to a romantic relationship, but was never stated outright.

In the AoC timeline, she was sent away before Astor faced Link’s group for the final time to be able to maintain some way of Ganon’s power to carry on his work. Once Ganon was defeated, Aveline’s malice powers vanished with a lot of pain rolling in until she passed out. When she woke up in the castle, she knew that by seeing both of her eyes being normal, it meant that Astor failed and she couldn’t protect him. Aveline couldn’t sense either of them. She confronts Impa and Zelda and goes on a tearful rant of how Astor “saw her” and she “saw him” and taught her so much of the magic that went to waste and the royal family’s actions. In a way, she was avenged because Link and his group defeated Ganon after it absorbed him, but it didn’t matter. She just wanted to find him just to be sure he’s okay. She swore revenge when she heard that there was nothing that can be done to help Astor. However, she also sought for Sheikah technology just to be able to somehow bring her mad lover back, if she can find the body or spirit, that is.
In the BotW timeline, it is unknown to what happened to them, but Aveline did have a family during the 100-year time gap, but her descendant, Avery’s ancestry through Aveline’s partner is a mystery. It could be theorized that she was descended from Astor while in an older version of Aveline’s story, there was a Link somewhat lookalike named “Aeris,” and the story after they got together is a whole other can of worms I don’t wanna get into right now.
